South Asia is home to the beautiful Pinwheel Flower Tabernaemontana, a glossy leafed shrub with compact shape. From Spring until the end of Autumn, it bears small pure white pinwheel flowers that are faintly sweet and fragrant. Subtropical and Mediterranean gardens commonly use this plant as an ornamental hedge. The round shape of this little beauty grows naturally with a little pruning to keep it perfect. A well-drained soil with full sun to light shade is best for this plant. In order to get the best results, it should be kept moist, but not wet, and slow release fertiliser should be applied two to three times per year.
